Orange In A Pear Tree Toastie

  • Gruyere x 20g
  • Parmesan x 20g
  • Eggs x 1 
  • Sourdough Bread x 2 slices
  • Chives x 5g
  • Ham Hock x 25g
  • Salted Butter x 10g
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Orange in a Pear Tree Chutney x 2 tablespoons (plus extra to serve) 


    Pre heat the oven to 180°C or pre light the grill on a medium heat. Butter both sides of the sourdough and place on greaseproof paper on a tray/oven suitable pan. Build the sandwich with ham hock, cheddar and gruyere inside. Add the Orange In A Pear Tree Chutney and top the built sandwich with another layer of gruyere and the grated parmesan.


    Place in the oven or under the grill for 5-10 minutes until the sandwich is toasted and the cheese has melted. Remove from the oven or grill and top with a runny fried egg, chopped chives and salt and pepper to taste. Add extra Orange In A Pear Tree Chutney to serve.
