ingredients
- Brioche
- Milk x 200ml
- Large Eggs x 2
- Cinnamon x 1 teaspoon
- Caster Sugar x 1 tablespoon
- Vanilla Essence x 1 teaspoon
- Bananas x 2
- Butter (for frying)
- Negroni Marmalade x 2 tablespoons
STEP ONE:
Method:
Combine eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar & vanilla into a dish and whisk to form a custard.
Dip the brioche slices into the custard and let the bread soak for 30 seconds. Preheat a frying pan with a tablespoon of butter over a low flame. Cook for 8-10 minutes on each side or until both sides are crispy and the bread is no longer soggy.
STEP TWO:
In a separate pan heat the Negroni Marmalade until it becomes a pourable glaze. Remove the French toast from the pan and serve with cream, sliced banana and cover with the Negroni Marmalade glaze.
